On the down time, which is rare for me, I finally made a vitamin E lip dew.  I have been wanting to make this formula for a while now. It came out nice but glossy.  I have to play some more with this so men would like to use it as well.

Sorry that it's been awhile since I last posted.  I've been busy with a new job and still trying to work out the details on last one.  Once I have a regular schedule, I'll be able to get back to soaping by the end of this month.  I do want to get started on Holiday Soaps as I want to be a vendor at an event here in November. Updated the site to reflect the new shipping rates. As it was getting confusing on the weight vs rates, I had to stop the flat rate shipping for now. The shipping rates are from USPS weblink. This should work out better than the flat rate, especially when the package is smaller.

Almost done with these. It was fun experimenting with the new butters, Matcha Green Tea Butter and Aloe Butter. The Matcha Green Tea shows a greenish tint and I paired it with chai tea flavor. This butter is softer than the Coffee Butter I use for the Java Lip Dew so I had to compensate with a bit more beeswax. I became intrigued when a co-worker asked about coconut oil soap. Coconut oil in high amounts can be drying to your skin unless the superfat is high. This one is special because it's made with pureed cucumbers. Beautiful specks of green with a fresh cucumber melon fragrance. Cucumbers are an astringent so it's great for oily skin. By request, I'm back with formulating lipsticks. I tried them quite a while ago and while it was fun, it was tedious getting the right formula for color consistency and the right firmness.So I have some batches cooling and it will go out to testers for feedback. I was looking at new formulas for hair conditioner. I wanted of course conditioning as well as manageability and shine. What I made came out nice. The consistency is too thin for my thick hair. While apples are nice as fragranced soap, I was thinking it needed a revision. So I finished a new batch with a blend of a little of this and a little of that. Wow! Our latest soap is made with beer. Don’t worry the alcohol is simmered out before making the soap. The sugar in the beer makes this a bubbly bar. This was an interesting experiment.
